Floridians will have to migrate to other states at higher elevation, and we should hope that these currently fashionable political tactics will be rejected by Americans unused to fascism, Americans who want a better educated public, which these moms for repression will never produce. Instead of centralizing power in the hands of politically ambitious governors, American states should decentralize the power of incompetent school districts like that of the district board of Sarasota to the level of the local school, each of which should have its local board, which should govern in cooperation with municipal councils during the compulsory education years, with post-compulsory education governed by state regions, thereby constitutionally reining in the power of dictatorial politicians like Gavin Newsom and Ron DeSantis.

My kids both attended school in Sarasota and we purchased pre-paid college plans fully expecting them to attend university in Florida as we did. After dealing with attacks on their public school education, and now seeing attacks on higher education, my children have decided to go to school out of state. I doubt they will return to Florida.
