Magdalena Slapik
Magdalena is a freelance writer, editor and photographer in New York City currently working on an oral history of the U.S. public education system as seen through students’ eyes. Originally from Poland, Magdalena studied journalism and Spanish at New York University as an undergraduate, later taught high school English in Houston, Texas as a Teach for America corps member, and received her masters in magazine writing and editing from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
